Does the Magna require a drain line, brine tank, or electricity?

No. The Magna is a salt-free, zero-waste anti-scale system. It uses no electricity, produces no wastewater, and has no brine tank or drain line to maintain—making installation simpler and operating costs lower than salt-based softeners.

How much space do I need, and can it be installed outdoors?

The compact bracket and vertical housings fit in as little as 23” × 25” of wall space—perfect for tight utility rooms, garages, or crawl spaces. The reinforced polypropylene housings are UV-stable and can be mounted outdoors in temperate climates.

Will installing the Magna lower my water pressure?

The Magna is engineered for high-demand households and maintains up to 15 GPM flow rate—enough to run multiple showers, appliances, and faucets at the same time with no noticeable pressure drop.

Does the Magna make softened water, or does it just prevent scale?

The Magna’s Anti-Scale cartridge prevents scale from forming on your pipes, fixtures, and appliances, without the need for salt. It doesn’t remove hardness minerals (calcium & magnesium). Instead, it dissolves a food-grade polyphosphate that forms an invisible micro-film on pipes, heating elements, faucets, and other wet surfaces. This film keeps minerals from crystallizing and sticking, exactly like the scale-inhibitor cartridges used in coffee shops.
